Help with detail in Sony PDW530

Is there anyone who knows anything about the detail level in a Sony PDW530 camera? The problem is that photographer assistants believe it is difficult is to make sharp pictures.
Chief photographer will not impose on the detail level. He will have it at -20

Is it normal to set detail level at -20 and can I do something to help
assistants with the sharpness? We are shooting in 25P IMX 50Mbs
