What does the future look like for live streaming of HD video and what would be the best way to stream it?

I think it looks great. Relevant bandwidths are increasing, as is infrastructure. Today, Windows Media is the most proven choice, though that will change over the next 12 months.

Well HD is for sure the big battle in the video streaming sector. Big players as YouTube and Hulu are trying to implement this standard on their websites and even iPhone is able to stream at this point. To stream HD is indeed a good challange, in all the cases you will need a software solution capable of pushing HD.
