Is there any advantage to minimizing the number of key frames/I frames?

In theory, in a talking head or similar video with lots of redundancy, you might want to reduce the number with these videos for more efficient encoding. For practical reasons, however, most producers don’t go beyond 10 seconds or so, irrespective of the type of source video.
